Well today was the last day of VBS and I am EXHAUSTED, but very happy with the way things went. It was a really great week with lots of fun memories, but even more important, life changing experiences. Everyone who was there during the invitation time will know what I think was one of the most amazing moments of VBS. A young boy who has been adopted into a family of 11 siblings was adopted into the family of God today. Today Song became my little brother. ;) He went forward during the invitation and was crying so loud the whole auditorium could hear him. I had tears streaming down my face and dripping off my chin, as his obvious yearning for Jesus was so touching. I noticed that all of the teachers near me were wiping tears as well... ;) I was so happy for Song because he has had so many hardships in his young life and God brought him here to live in a loving, (and did I mention HUGE) multi-international, Christian family. Song has seen God working miracle after miracle in his life and in the lives of his siblings, and today he said, "I want Him to be my savior." It was so beautiful and I was dancing right there along with the angels!!! =)
Song singing to Jesus as a new creation... A NEW SONG!
Khaliana ~ God's Beautiful Princess
One of the girls in my class this week that really captured my heart was Khaliana. Khaliana, means beautiful and her middle name (which I can’t remember) means princess. I got a chance to talk with Khaliana today about salvation and she stated she already had asked Jesus in her heart. I told her that since she had Jesus in her heart than she really is a beautiful princess because she is a daughter of The King. It was so cool to watch this huge smile fill her face when I told her that!
And another Princess in our class... Jamie! (I know those of you who had the opportunity to get to know Jamie will appreciate this pic!) ;)
1st grade girls getting ready for their singing debut... I love this pic of Eva, it is SO EVA! (and it shows off her adorable dimples too) =)
So VBS may be over, but the lives God has changed will glorify Him for all eternity... What an amazing thing to be a part of! ;)

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to pray with Song and his brother Samuel. His prayer was so awesome. he pleaded with God to heal his sight just like the blind man in the bible, and then said 'but God not my will but yours.' That kid blesses my socks off!
That is so awesome Jill! Another, testament to God's amazing hand in Song’s life. If only I could have such a heart as this young boy... I can't wait to see how God uses him to ROCK THIS WORLD FOR JESUS! ;)
i have seen god at vbs and i was only there for 2 days. its amazing how much those kids look up to you even when you dont even know it. at the invitation today a little 2nd grade girl i was sitting by asked me to talk her up there, and i had never done it be for so i was a little scared. but she pretty much guided me through it. she was telling my why she came forward and my eyes got all teary. and then when i saw others crying then i felt a tear fall. its amazing how god can work so fast in the hearts of little ones
VBS was a success! What a great story about Song!
What great VBS stories you have to share! Sounds like you had an awesome week. Ours is coming up in a week and I'm afraid I won't have stories as good as yours to share.

P.S. I have dyslexic fingers sometimes, too! What's funny is I knew exactly what you were trying to say! My dyslexic brain kept up with your dyslexic fingers!
I am glad you made it through the week and even got some reward in watching the kids get closer to God too!
I am sure you will be a great teacher and see some rewards knowing you are making the difference in the lives of children. Plus, we really really need christian teachers, really...
I linked onto your blog from your comment on mine...I did go to your post re: adoption......LOVED IT....Don't know exactly why...considering all of our current circumstances the pic of Song asking Jesus into his heart sent me into sobs......GREAT ones!! Bless your heart! I look forward to keeping track of you...thanks for your encouragement...
